Comfortable beachfront accommodation on the Daintree Coast which is situated just
across the road from stunning and often deserted Thornton Beach, which is located just 10 minutes south of Cape Tribulation.

Thornton Beach House is nestled between The Daintree World Heritage National Park – the oldest tropical rainforest in the world – and the Great Barrier Reef.
We are the only holiday accommodation at Thornton Beach.

Our spacious, fully screened, open style home is primarily glass louvres to make the most of the cooling sea breeze and views of the Coral Sea and surrounding rainforest.
Tiled floors throughout give the house a cool, spacious feel. Relax on the verandah listening to the sounds of the ocean and watch the world go by.

Our Beach House offers you comfortable accommodation with:
two bedrooms in the house - one king size, the other queen size, with a fold away single bed, and two detached queen sized bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms only a few steps from the main house.

Location of our Beach House :

Thornton Beach House is located a scenic 2.5 hour drive north of Cairns and 1 hour from Port Douglas.
Once you have crossed the Daintree River on the Daintree cable ferry - which runs from 6am to midnight, 7 days a week - it’s only another 20 minutes drive and you’re here.
Look out for our sign on the main road:

Our accommodation is very well situated, being centrally located to both Cape Tribulation and Cow Bay, with their tours, restaurants, bars, boardwalks and fresh water creeks for swimming.

Accommodation rates :

The property offers accommodation for 8 people.
Priced at $250.00 for up to 4 people, $50.00 extra adult/$25.00 extra child 4 – 14 yrs makes this a great destination for large families or groups.
Minimum 2 nights stay.

Accommodation reservations :

Bookings are confirmed on receipt of full payment.
Cancellations more than 14 days prior to arrival - a full refund will be provided, less 5% administration fee.
Cancellations less than 14 days prior to arrival - no refund.
